![]() ![]() ![]() Paul H. Huber Middle School will offer an indpendent sports program beginning in January 2009. In the past, PHMS jointly shared teams with students from Ray Borane Middle School. Both school staffs look forward to the opportunity to field independent teams and compete against each other. We make every attempt to provide students at PHMS with an opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports and activities. Free Youth Basketball Clinic The City of Douglas Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a free Youth Basketball Clinic for all children in the city in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The free clinic and league takes place at the Huber Middle School Gym from June 22 through July 31. Space is limited. For more information or additional sign-up forms, call the City of Douglas Parks and Recreation at 417-7340. ![]() All students must pass all subjects to remain eligible. When a student becomes ineligible, he/she will be ineligible for four weeks. Ineligibility will continue if the student has not passed all of his/her subjects during the preceding grading period. If a student is not in class the day of a sporting event, he/she will not be allowed to participate. ![]() Beginning in Fall 2008, all students participating in sports must have a physical clearance from a state medical board certified physician. This can be your local physician. This clearance ensures that students are physically able to enjoy their sports without unforeseen serious medical conditions.
