Welcome Back to the Future of DHS

Welcome back to the 2021-2022 school year at Douglas High School, the home of the Bulldogs. We are excited about the upcoming year.  This year will be much different than what education has ever been. After surviving a pandemic, we’re optimistic about being able to overcome any challenge that comes our way because we are “BULLDOGS”. In addition we will continue to implement safety, sanitation, and protocols to ensure everything goes smoothly.

As I embark on this new journey with you, I can tell you that I am so excited to lead the wonderful educators at Douglas High School. During this school year we will be working together to provide the best possible education for your students. Your commitment is an important part of our educational process and communication is the key to a successful school year.

The Douglas High School staff is also committed to success so as a school community we will be working hand-in-hand to ensure that we provide our students the skills to become tomorrow’s leaders.  We strive to challenge each student to reach their full academic potential to be college/career ready by the end of their four years. Together, by believing in excellence, we will build a strong foundation necessary for success. I promise you that the staff at Douglas High School will use best practices to determine student skill sets and establish goals for growth and improvement. We all believe that our students should graduate from high school prepared for college or a career.

It is expected that all of our students set personal and academic goals for the coming school year.  These goals should include improving or sustaining high academic standards, participating in school activities, and establishing quality attendance patterns.  Most importantly, our students should strive for excellence in school.

Our caring and professional staff provides our students with a safe and motivating academic environment in which to learn.  Please allow me to introduce to you our Administrative staff for the upcoming year.
