Get ready for DHS Homecoming Week! This year's theme is "Once Upon a Midnight." We invite all students and staff to dress up each day; participating students will help their class earn points toward the Spirit Seat! (Please note that the school dress code still applies).

The DHS Homecoming Parade is on Thursday, September 17th, at 5:30 PM, followed by the Bonfire. Check out our flyers for more details. Let’s make this year’s Homecoming celebration our best one yet!

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Douglas community for supporting the Douglas Bulldogs Softball team through your purchase of breakfast burritos and Pozole. We also wish to acknowledge U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Douglas Port of Entry for their substantial order of over 200 items. Furthermore, we appreciate the Golf & Social Club for inviting us to participate in the 91st Annual Labor Day Golf Tournament. We are making it easier for families to communicate student absences with ATTENDANCE PRO, our new text-based attendance system.

Each school has been assigned a dedicated Attendance Pro phone number that parents and guardians can CALL or TEXT to report a student absence.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE REMINDER! To ensure your student’s absence is properly excused, parents/guardians should call or text the school’s assigned Attendance Pro number PRIOR TO or ON THE DAY OF THE ABSENCE.

Reporting absences promptly helps our schools maintain accurate attendance records and strengthens communication between school and home.

Starting August 17, Douglas High School will be using a new text-based system to keep you informed when your child is absent — and to make it simple for you to respond, ask questions, and share notes, all without a phone call.

Here's what's new:

You'll receive a text when your child is absent. A message will come from (520) 231 0510 — save this number in your contacts so you never miss it.


You can text back directly. Reply to confirm an absence, share the reason, or ask a question. It's that simple.


You can send photos of notes by text. Need to submit a parent note or a doctor's note? Just take a photo and text it to the same number — no need to drop anything off at the office.


You can proactively text us. Know that your child will be absent? Send us a text to (520) 231 0510, and we’ll update the record accordingly.
The texts are powered by our AI attendance assistant. Every response goes directly to our attendance team, and your child's record is updated accordingly.
