Joe Carlson Families, Red Ribbon Spirit Week starts this Wednesday, 10/23/2024, and will continue until Tuesday, 10/29/2024. Wednesday is sunglasses and neon clothes day, Thursday is sports day, Friday is Pajama day, Monday is crazy hair day, and Tuesday is Red T-shirt day. REMINDER: Joe Carlson Families, We want to remind you that today, Wednesday, October 9th, is an early release at 1:00 p.m.
Also, Friday, October 11th, is early release, and students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. For this reason, we will not have the 21st-century program on Friday.
Fall break is next week from October 14th to October 18th. We will resume school on Monday, October 21st.

The Douglas Rotary Club and the City of Douglas will hold their 9th Annual Fly-in on October 12, 2024, at the Douglas Municipal Airport. The event will include a chance for children ages 8 through 17 to have a short flight in a light aircraft via the Young Eagles Flight Plan. If interested, please see the flyer and application form for more information.
Teachers will provide an application only to those interested. The applications must be filled out with the parent/guardian’s signature.

Joe Carlson Elementary is ending its first quarter with Spirit Week: "Let's Fall into the School Spirit," sponsored by the Student Council from October 7th to 11th. See the flyer for more information. If the student is not participating, please make sure they are in school uniform.

Joe Carlson Families, join us at our first school dance this Friday, October 4th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., sponsored by Joe Carlson PTSO.
JC PTSO will also have a costume contest from categories: 1) Scariest, 2) Creative, 3) Funniest, 4) Glamour, and 5) Super Hero. You are not required to wear a costume to join us at the dance; it's optional.
A concession stand will be available, and prices will vary from $1.00 to $5.00.
Necessary: an adult must accompany the student to the dance!

Joe Carson family, you are invited to dress up as cowboy or cowgirl this Friday, September 27th, to join in on the 100th annual Cochise County Fair celebration.
Students not participating must wear their school uniforms. Third—to fifth-graders can come in their preferred outfits for picture day.

Joe Carlson Student Council will participate in the homecoming parade this Thursday, September 26, 2024. We are extending the invitation only to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
