Mrs. Andrea Barallardos - Arizona Ambassador for Excellence 2024 Teacher of the Year Finalist!

Congratulations to Mrs. Andrea Barallardos, DHS/CTE Engineering/Physics Teacher, for being an Arizona Ambassador for Excellence 2024 Arizona Teacher of the Year Finalist!
As you may know, Mrs. Barallardos was nominated amongst over one hundred teachers for the Arizona Teacher of the Year Award and made it to the Top Five 2024 Ambassador for Excellence Award. This means she was amongst the top five teachers in the state. This past Saturday I had the opportunity to attend the Arizona Educational Foundation Arizona Teacher of the Year Awards and let me tell you it was an honor to have Douglas High School and DUSD being represented amongst the best. As an Ambassador for Excellence awardee, Mrs. Barallardos will be receiving some very special gifts, awards, and experiences as part of her awards package including further training and education as a teacher and leader.
